Dec. 31st, 2025 08:41 pm✘ THREADJACKING: Best to check with all parties involved. If everyone is fine with it, I'll be fine with it.
✘ FOURTHWALLING: No please.
✘ BACKTAGGING: Forever and ever. Please feel free to come back and poke a thread I've left hanging! Life is crazy and more often than not I've dropped the thread because of my circumstances, not you.
✘ FLIGHT-RISK: Mmm, a little high. As noted above and below, my life is full and my timezone is usually an RP burden. Also, I do like shiny things! I'm working on speaking up when a thread isn't working for me anymore and nine times out of ten, a change of scene does the trick.
✘ TIMEZONE: GMT
✘ SPEED: Because of my timezone I find that many rp'ers are coming alive while I'm falling asleep on the couch-- this can make getting a good flow a bit hard sometimes. A typical day is usually +/- 3 big posts or a double-handful of smaller, but there are a lot of factors that could pull that up or down.
✘ CANON/CROSS/MEDIUMS: Absolute love. Open to everything that doesn't require a straight up rework for Geralt, which means any canon that can handle magic/fantasy/mutants we can probably make work.
✘ TRIGGERS: None.
✘ CONTACT: PM.
✘ VIOLENCE/GORE: No limits. Geralt can take a lot of punishment and I truly adore good action scenes.
✘ DEATH: Unless it's plotted out in advance and I trust you, let's not.
✘ SHIPS: Yennefer, other Wolf-school witchers. While I love the idea of Jaskier and Geralt, I find it hard to make this relationship work in RP. Not to say it can't be done, or I won't (because I'm very here for the one-sided unrequited love saves the day shit, 100%), but expect a necessary amount of played-out CR on this one.
✘ HARD NOS: Ciri. Strictly father/daughter, here.
✘ ORIENTATION: A friend has used the term situationally homosexual, and it fits Geralt well. He prefers women but, having spent his formative years in a place full of nothing but hormonal and ostracized men, he's unlikely to turn a man down if there's a connection and/or no other options.
As far as characterization goes I predominately pull Geralt from the books, as he's much less obviously
I do take from the video games, mostly in terms general timeline events, in favor of ignoring the last of the books.
That being said, I have watched the show and enjoy what Cavill brings to the character, and will use it. I'm happy to play any situation that might stem from show-scenes.
